The goal of the JUC Greens is to increase the awareness of each individual’s role, as well as our collective responsibility as a congregation, in respecting the interdependent web of all existence. As the first Green Sanctuary congregation in Colorado, we want to take a leadership role in the coming year. We plan activities that will lead to establishing green congregational policies in as many ways as possible. We also plan activities to encourage individual life-style changes that can make a difference in our world.
We hope to emphasize this work as an issue of eco-justice and to begin efforts to spread the Green Sanctuary Program to other congregations within our district. JUC Spokespeople is a bicycling advocacy subgroup of the task force.
