This Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment website gives excellent information about Assisted Living Residences in Colorado. It includes a listing of specific residences by city/county and any history of complaint reports and investigations, plus information on how to choose one and other helpful links.

Lifeline Medical Alert System

Lifeline is a medical alert system that makes it possible for people with health concerns or special needs to quickly contact medical emergency personnel by pressing a button on a bracelet or necklace. These devices are an inexpensive way to give peace of mind to those living alone, while offering assurance to family members.

The Colorado Division of Housing (DOH) offers rental assistance subsidies (Section 8 Vouchers) to very low-income families in 47 Colorado counties. DOH contracts with local housing agencies that focus on family eligibility and ensure that the rental unit meets housing quality standards. DOH offers rental assistance in counties served by small housing agencies and to special populations in the Denver metropolitan area. Jeffco Action Center's Tenant / Landlord Counseling is a non-profit qualified, experienced volunteer group that offers phone and walk-in service concerning tenant or landlord rights and obligations under Colorado law. The Office has operated for several years as an important part of Jeffco Action Center, Inc., and has helped countless clients to gain assistance on tenant landlord problems. There is no charge or fee.
Rent and Utility Assistance is available to help clients with a portion of their bill. Clients must demonstrate how they will be able to pay the next month's bill. Work Readiness support includes help in attaining essential documentation for employment such as birth certificates, driver's and professional licenses, as well as tools and work-related equipment. Bus tokens may be provided for employment and transportation to medical services.

The Rocky Mountain Housing Development Corporation, Inc. provides housing and related supportive services that engender a safe environment and teach community skills for families with very low to moderate incomes.  They have rental housing at Foothills Green in Lakewood, Willow Green in Arvada and Arapahoe Green in Denver.  Application forms are available online.

Low-Income Energy Assistance Program - LEAP

LEAP is designed to help low-income households with home heating costs. The program is designed to provide those who are eligible for the program with partial assistance and is not intended to pay the entire cost of home heating.  LEAP only offers services during the months of high heating costs, November through April.

MCPN's service area includes all the City of Aurora and Arapahoe and Jefferson Counties. Services within the area are developed to provide primary health care for people who have no other access to health care. A Family Practice model of health care is supported by case management services, pharmacy services, and other coordination efforts to remove barriers to health care.
