Trust Directors

The Jefferson Unitarian Church Endowment and Memorial Gift Trust (EMGT) conserves contributions in perpetuity and generates investment income which is made available annually to fund special projects not included in the annual budget. Since 1995 the EMGT has awarded $128,000 in grants with an additional $50,000 designated for grants this year. The present equity invested in the trust is $612,000.

Projects supported in past years include:

Memorial Garden, refurbishing the Mills bldg., sacred furnishings for and remodeling of the sanctuary, support for Habitat for Humanity and The Interfaith Alliance, support for the Prairie Unitarian, Columbine, and Grand Junction UU churches, wayside pulpit, Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) start-up costs, supplemental pastoral care funds, storeroom remodel and purchase of lightweight tables, and portable piano. In addition, the Foreman Fund which is now merged with the EMGT has provided funds for support of Intern Ministers: Lee Greiner, Dan Spencer, and Penny Rather.
