Jefferson Unitarian Church
is a welcoming spiritual community in Golden, Colorado. We are religious seekers, providing a safe haven where all are free to search for and create meaning as part of their spiritual journey. Unitarian Universalism is a religion that celebrates diversity of belief -- and we have no creed that is a test of membership. We are, however, guided by shared principles which remind us that all are worthy of dignity and respect, and that we are all part of an interconnected web of existence.
Our congregation is the place where we gather to nurture our spirits and put our faith into action through social justice work in our local community and the wider world.
We help our children develop their spiritual curiosity, exposing them to the great religions without indoctrinating them in a particular set of beliefs.
More About Unitarian Universalism
As UUs, we engage in an ongoing search for truth and meaning. We are intellectually and spiritually curious, proud of our skepticism and committed to engaging the mind, body and spirit. We worship and sing together, engage in community service and seek to deepen our understanding of what it means to grow as human beings. We question dogma, encourage free thinking and work to make the world a better place.
As a progressive faith, our roots are in the protestant and Judeo Christian tradition. Over the course of history, however, we have opened our hearts and minds to deeply consider many other sources of wisdom, including science and philosophy as well as other world religions and mystic movements.
